That life-changing experience inspired her to become an author, storyteller, and founder of AYO Explores the World, where she encourages children to discover new cultures, embrace diversity, and explore the world with curiosity and wonder.
Jasmine is a marketer, entrepreneur, and creative strategist. Inspired by a lifelong passion for exploration and love for children, she transformed AYO from a single activity book into a global educational adventure that brings the world to children through storytelling, creativity, and technology.

One Journey. One Calling. One Big Dream.
My name is Venida Hudley, and after a 40+ year career in technology sales at IBM and Informatica, I retired believing I had entered a new season of life.
What happened next was something I never could have planned. I felt God calling me to travel across Africa.
Not with a tour group. Not with friends. Alone.
And not simply to travel, but to volunteer and serve along the way.
To be honest, it was not a journey I would have chosen for myself. Spending nearly a year traveling solo across Africa was far outside my comfort zone. Yet sometimes the most extraordinary experiences begin when faith asks us to take the first step before we can see the entire path.
So I said yes.
Over the next 335 days, I traveled through 12 African countries, volunteered in communities across the continent, and experienced a side of Africa that transformed my understanding of the world.
What I discovered was far more than breathtaking landscapes and incredible wildlife. I discovered resilience, innovation, creativity, kindness, joy, and countless stories that deserved to be shared.
When I returned home, I knew my journey wasn't over. It was just beginning.
That calling eventually inspired Ayo Explores.
why ayo?
In many ways, Ayo is the childlike version of the traveler I became during those 335 days, curious, courageous, open-hearted, and eager to learn from people and cultures different from my own.
I wanted children everywhere to experience the same wonder, curiosity, and appreciation for different cultures that I experienced during my travels. I wanted them to see a world filled with possibilities, people worth knowing, and places worth exploring.
Ayo is a curious young explorer with a big heart and an even bigger imagination.
Through stories, activity books, animated adventures, games, and learning experiences, Ayo Explores teaches children that our differences are not something to fear. They are something to celebrate.

why africa first?
Because Africa changed my life.
During my travels, I discovered breathtaking landscapes, innovative businesses, rich cultures, remarkable wildlife, and some of the most welcoming people I have ever met.
Yet many children grow up hearing only a small part of Africa's story.
I wanted young learners to experience the same shift in perspective I did, one that reveals a world filled with beauty, creativity, innovation, kindness, and adventure.
My dream is simple:
To inspire children everywhere to say, "Mom and Dad, let's go to Africa!"
Not because they learned about Africa from a textbook, but because they fell in love with it through Ayo's Explores adventures.

Jasmine Curtis
From Passport Stamps to Big Dreams
As a little girl, I remember holding someone's passport for the very first time.
I wasn't looking at the words.
I wasn't looking at the photo.
I was fascinated by the stamps.
Each page represented a different country, a different adventure, and a different story.
I remember thinking,
"One day I want my passport to look like that."
At just eight years old, I had no idea what those stamps really represented.
Looking back now, I realize I was speaking life into my future.
Today, I am on my fourth passport, have explored 39 countries across the world, and I'm still collecting stamps.
Creativity Has Always Been My Passport
My professional journey began in marketing with Red Bull Energy Drink, where I spent sixteen incredible years growing from a sampling representative to managing an entire country and eventually a regional portfolio.
That journey took me far beyond Trinidad and Tobago.
It gave me opportunities to live and work in Colombia and Jamaica while collaborating with people and cultures from around the world.
But creativity never stopped at my day job.
Throughout those years, I constantly built businesses, launched ideas, and explored new ventures because creating has always been part of who I am.
When I left Red Bull in 2020, I founded GoBeyondTT Ltd., a creative agency that allowed me to help entrepreneurs, organizations, and small businesses transform ideas into brands and experiences that could make an impact.
Little did I know that my greatest creative adventure was still ahead.
Seeing Africa Through Someone Else's Eyes
Been to 39 countries and counting, but unlike Venida, I have never traveled to Africa.
It's through her incredible stories, photographs, videos, friendships, and experiences that I was able to see Africa through her eyes.
My role became translating those real-life experiences into stories that children everywhere could understand, enjoy, and fall in love with.
Together, we combined two very different journeys.
Venida lived the adventure. I helped bring it to life.
That partnership is what makes Ayo Explores so special.
The Journey Doesn't Stop Here
Ayo's first adventures begin in Africa, but this is only the beginning.
As we continue exploring the world, Ayo will too.
Future adventures will take children across Asia, Europe, and beyond, helping them discover new cultures, traditions, foods, languages, and ways of life.
Because the more we learn about one another, the more connected our world becomes.
